60 Second Strategy — Idea-O-Meter

Idea-O-Meter

There are so many times when I’ve told people my ideas and they were extremely ineffective at convincing me not to do it.

Here are a few:

  1. Act
  2. Don’t use business cards
  3. Let Clients Choose how much they pay.
  4. Create and Post My Own Content.
  5. Home School My Daughter
  6. Start a Business.
  7. Stop being a Public Speaker.

All of those discouragers kept saying the timing was wrong, it won’t work, that’s not how it’s done, I was making the biggest mistake of my life. The failure rate was too high and on and on and on.

I had sense enough and more importantly faith enough to ignore them and follow my gut.

My Final Thoughts

I must admit, though challenges and obstacles have occurred along the way, I’ve not regretted any of the ideas that came through my idea-o-meter.

What I’ve learned is that everyone has a different path in life. When you force people down the same path it’s a very dull and boring existence.

When you give people the space and respect to go after their ideas, you end up with better outcomes and better results.

Real Leaders encourage ideas that don’t make sense at first, because we know they will dent make and disrupt into something the World needed and just didn’t know it.
