Dare to prepare, it will take you everywhere. ~ Dr. Donna

We have all been guilty of it. Waiting until the last minute and then throwing something together; whether it is a meal, an outfit, a speech, a presentation, a document, or a project. When we have finished, we know that we did not put forth our best effort and sometimes it works and most often it does not. If we have been successful in “pulling it off,” we feel as though we got away with it. In essence we have cheated ourselves and those that were part of the event.

When you take the time to prepare, you present the best. You look your best, the meals taste great, the presentation or speech was effective and the participants walked away enlightened. Success is not about how you can fake your way through. It is all about sustainability and never irresponsibility. If you truly want to be a successful leader, then it will take time and it will also require that you prepare for everything consistently.

Your success is totally dependent upon how much you are willing to prepare yourself and everything that represents who you are. When you truly become committed to being successful, then you take the time that is needed to prepare. You will present your best all of the time and your commitment to preparation will benefit yourself as well as those that you lead.

Prepare, Prepare, Prepare…Did I mention prepare? Preparation is being proactive, it is taking the time to do it right.

Procrastination is being reactive it is putting tasks off until they have to be completed.

When you prepare you can consistently access your best!
